Laziness. The word hangs in the air. It is the bane of existence to any young, driven entrepreneur. But have you ever thought that being lazy in the business world is just what you might need in order to succeed?

Take a look at Shane Snow’s guest post over at fourhourworkweek.com. Shane is the author of the new book, SMARTCUTS, and a contributing writer for Wired! and Fast Company. Today he relates the story of DHH, a computer programmer who, through sheer laziness alone, created one of the most used computer programming platforms in the entire world.

Crazy, huh?! I know! Even crazier…you’re not a programmer. So what does this have to do with you?

Everything.

Remember, in your striving for success you do not have to reinvent the wheel. Take a cue from others and what they have done. Build on the shoulders of giants, rather than starting from the ground up. You’ll save yourself a lot of headache, and who knows…maybe your strategic laziness will payoff in dividends!

So don’t be lazy, give it a read…and then, employ a little (or a lot) of strategic laziness.
